Grieving loss is a natural and necessary experience in our lives, and too commonly misunderstood or overlooked in our communities, work, and social environments.
Many are in positions to respond to the grieving individual or family but lack the preparation to effectively manage the exchange. Hurtful missteps can occur and relationships can suffer, as the pain worsens and hope diminishes for those who need it most.
Why are so many approaches ineffective?
Because they focus only on matters of the head and heart while seeking to solve, repair, or bypass grief.
The Grief Training Center of Wisconsin recognizes grief is anchored in the soul and healing requires patience, presence, compassion, and courage.
We offer a truly holistic approach, embracing the mind, body, and soul. This fully empowers one to use their grief experience to grow, learn, and realize the hopes of a bright future, rather than simply attempt to recover from the loss.
We recognize the good in people, and especially in those who readily support the bereaved. We offer unique knowledge and training so they can further share their good in our world.
We invite you to participate and deepen your ability to console someone as they journey through grief, and walk with them as they grow through healing.
Show the world how good we can be, together!
